About

Short Biography

Dr. Tesnim Khriji Chirchi  holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Quebec at Montreal, where her research focused on "Conjunctures, discourse, and structures of globalization." Before that, she completed an MSc in Sociology at the University of Montreal and a BSc in Sociology.

Her research interests cover a wide range of sociological topics, including social change, political sociology of the Arab world, and democratic governance. Dr. Chirchi is also passionate about women's empowerment, social research methodologies, and the drivers of radicalization and violent extremism in the Middle East and North Africa.

As the Founder and Director of the Jasmine Foundation for Research and Communication, she actively engages in civil society governance, policy analysis, and capacity-building initiatives in Tunisia.
