On March 3rd, the Department of Sociology held its annual traditional iftar program. The event brought together faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduate students in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The event was organized as a “potluck” iftar, encouraging participants to bring dishes from their own regional cuisines. This format resulted in a rich and colourful table reflecting the department’s international and multicultural community. Participants shared homemade meals representing various cultures and regions, turning the evening into a meaningful and enjoyable experience.
The program provided a vital space for strengthening bonds outside the classroom. Faculty members and students engaged in heartfelt conversations, sharing both personal experiences and academic perspectives in a relaxed setting.
The Department of Sociology plans to continue this traditional iftar program in the coming years, as it plays a key role in fostering a sense of belonging and community.
