| 1) According to the decision of the Senate dated 16.06.2017 about trilingual education, it is necessary to have at least B2 level of language proficiency in each of the Turkish, English and Arabic languages as a condition of graduation, in all the departments of our university. | ||||||
| a- The curriculum of the BA Program in Sociology is designed in such a way that students can take Arabic courses for four semesters and international students can take additional Turkish courses for four semesters in order to meet the trilingual education language requirements. Placement tests are organized by the School of Languages in order to assure students are enrolled at the appropriate course level. | ||||||
| b-Students who have the necessary level of language proficiency, or who reach that level in fewer than four semesters, will take departmental electives listed in the BA Program Sociology curriculum instead of the Arabic courses coded ARA 301, ARA 302, ARA 303, ARA 304 or the Turkish courses coded TUR 301, TUR 302, TUR 303, TUR 304. | ||||||
| 2) All undergraduate courses in undergraduate curriculums of Ibn Haldun University (including language electives) can be taken as general electives. | ||||||
| 3) The graduate requirements for the BA Sociology Program include 46 courses (142 credits and 240 ECTS in total). Of the 47 courses, 13 should be university core courses and 22 should be area courses. | ||||||
