The proceedings of the international symposium titled "Palestine and the Future of Global Affairs", held at our university on February 23-24, 2024, in collaboration with the Alliance of Civilizations Institute, and the Departments of Sociology, History, Political Science and International Relations, and the School of Law, have been compiled into a book edited by Prof. Ramazan Aras (Ibn Haldun University, Department of Sociology) and Assist. Prof. Ahmet Yusuf Özdemir (Ibn Haldun University, Department of Political Science and International Relations).
The study, published by Ibn Haldun University Press, was shaped by the contributions of academics, human rights activists, journalists and representatives of civil society organizations. The book sheds light on a wide range of critical topics, including academic freedom, global solidarity, daily resistance against settler colonialism, and media narratives. The book “Palestine and the Future of Global Affairs” examines the tragedy experienced by the Palestinian people and their ongoing struggle on a global scale within an academic framework. At the same time, it opens discussions on how the international community perceives the Palestinian issue and possible future scenarios.
The book serves as an essential resource for anyone seeking to understand the oppression faced by the Palestinian people from an academic perspective and evaluate it within the context of global relations.
