Student Research Symposium will be held on May 3-5, 2024, at Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul, Turkey. This year’s symposium will bring students together to discuss the theme of “Social Conflicts, Wars, Peace and Justice in Today's World.”
Our symposium explores the impacts of social conflicts and wars, addressing how narratives can shape local, global perceptions, policies, and movements towards peace and justice. In an era where information transcends borders instantaneously, social media platforms serve as dynamic spaces where narratives, opinions, and perspectives are not only exchanged but, crucially, constructed.
By exploring the intricate connections between the tangible and the virtual, we will unravel the power dynamics inherent in the dissemination of information. We highly encourage submission of papers that explore new approaches and paradigms related to the theme of this symposium. Additionally, we encourage students to engage with and extend their analyses on a number of focal areas such as, but not limited to:
