States of Islamophobia Conference was held in Ibn Haldun University.
The inaugural ‘States of Islamophobia (Studies)’ conference was held in Ibn Haldun University on July 14-15-16, 2022. The conference was organized by the International Islamophobic Studies Research Association (IISRA) and Ibn Haldun University.
The 3 day international conference hosted over 40 prominent scholars and diverse speakers from USA, UK, Norway, South Africa, Turkey, Albania, Canada, among others. Speakers presented their topics throughout ten panels, with the following topics discussed: Family Resemblances of Global Islamophobia, Globalizing Islamophobia, Dimensions of Islamophobia, Islamophobia and War on Terror, Relational Islamophobia, Contemporary Manifestations and Resistance, Islamophobia and Media, Islamophobia, Far Right and Muslim Men, Islamophobia: Islamophobia in Islamdom/Muslimistan, and The State of Islamophobia (Studies) RoundTable.
The aim of the conference was to engage in public and scholarly discussions on Islamophobia and to encourage networking, disseminating, exchanging, and supporting research-based knowledge.
