The third event of the Erasmus+ KA210 project titled “Overcome Learning and Teaching a Foreign Language Barrier for Differently Abled Students (A New Language, A New World),” written by our PhD students Melahat Göktaş, Ensar Kül, and Hüseyin Dağ from the Department of Sociology and conducted under the supervision of our department chair Prof. Dr. Ramazan Aras, took place between August 24–26.
Supported by the Turkish National Agency, the project brought together visually impaired university students, faculty members, and students from foreign language departments. During the events, the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals in learning and teaching foreign languages were discussed, and solution-oriented strategies were developed to overcome these difficulties. Enriched with workshops, presentations, and interactive sessions, the event strengthened the exchange of knowledge and experiences among participants.
With the motto “A New Language, A New World,” we remain committed to building a more inclusive and accessible educational environment and wish the project team continued success.
