Sociology Department Research Grant Funded Four Graduate Student’s Academic Achievements
As a result of the evaluation of the Field/Research/Travel Scholarship applications completed in the Fall Term of 2022, our graduate students were entitled to a scholarship.

The Sociology Department's Field/Research/Travel Scholarship applications were finalized in the Fall Term of 2022. As a result of the evaluation of the applications, the Department contributed to the academic achievements of four graduate students. You can find details about the students who are eligible for the grant and their studies below.

Students who received scholarships for conference participation:

Betül Tozlu - Symposium Participation

Our student, along with her colleagues Gamze Yalçın and Ceyda Arol, presented "No or Evil? Investigation of Conflict Between K-Pop Fans and Opponents in the Context of Power Relations”  during the Turkish Postgraduate Studies Congress at Mardin Artuklu University from November 9-12.

Nesibe Demir - Symposium Participation

Our student presented a paper entitled "The Role of Emotions in the Activities of Muslim Women: Ladies' Science and Culture Association (HİKDE)" during the Turkish Graduate Studies Congress held at Mardin Artuklu University between 9-12 November.

Pınar Şen – Symposium Participation

Our student will make a presentation at the 17th National Social Sciences Congress to be organized by the Turkish Social Sciences Association.

Our student who was awarded a scholarship for Fieldwork:

Saiyid Ashraf Jafri has been awarded a scholarship for the field work planing to do in India for our student's research on "Post-Sectarianism in India".
